- Turning the system on/off: Press
ANS ON/OFFon the base. The light will be on when active. - Recording your own outgoing message (OGM): Press
MENU/SELECT→ "ANS. SYSTEM" → "ANNOUNCEMENT". The manual warns that if you do not record one, a default message plays. - Number of rings: You can set it to 2, 4, 6, or "Toll Saver" (picks up after 4 rings if no messages, 2 rings if there are new messages).
