Unlocking the bootloader on a Huawei P30 Pro is currently difficult because Huawei officially discontinued its bootloader unlock code service on July 24, 2018
- Connect the USB cable to your PC (but not to the phone yet).
- Use tweezers to short the test point to ground (usually a metal shield nearby).
- While maintaining the short, plug the USB cable into the phone.
- Keep the short for 5 seconds, then release.
- Your PC should detect a new device – in Device Manager, look for “Huawei USB COM 1.0” (this is factory fastboot).
- Download the Fastboot and ADB drivers from the official Huawei website or other reliable sources.
- Install the drivers on your computer.
EMUI Version: On EMUI 10 or later, Huawei has reportedly removed the oem unlock command entirely, making it nearly impossible for consumers to unlock the device even with a code. Step 1: Gather Required Device Information
Prerequisites & Risks (Read Carefully)
You Will Need:
- A Windows PC (Windows 10 or 11 – no Mac/Linux for this process).
- A USB-A to USB-C cable (original Huawei cable recommended).
- HCU Client software (Paid – approx. €15-20 credits).
- Drivers: Latest Huawei USB drivers + Hisuite installed.
- A small screwdriver set (Phillips #00, plastic pry tool).
- Tweezers or a thin metal wire (to short a test point).
- Full backup of your data (this process factory resets the phone).
Are you comfortable opening the phone, or do you prefer a software-only fix? Do you already have an unlock code from a service provider?
