It then shifts focus to the Vietsub (Vietnamese subtitle) fan community that translated the show for Vietnamese audiences. The paper argues that the "unexpected" business success of the show in Vietnam is not merely due to celebrity culture but due to high-context localization strategies employed by fan translators, who adapted Korean rural business nuances into Vietnamese cultural equivalents.
