Sup M3 Custom Firmware Verified Extra Quality

The Sup M3 handheld console supports custom firmware (CFW) based on the MiyooCFW project, which enhances performance via the GMenu2X interface and improves emulation for systems like GBA and SNES. Installation requires flashing the specific uclibc build onto an SD card and configuring the device by changing the console.cfg file to "m3". Limitations (Verified Scope)

The "Short Pin" Method (For JZ4725 Boards):

  1. Open the case carefully.
  2. Locate pin 7 (CE) and pin 8 (RESET) on the NAND chip.
  3. Short the two pins with a pair of tweezers.
  4. While shorting, plug in the USB.
  5. Release the pins after 2 seconds. The device will enter "Forced Burn Mode."
  6. Re-flash the verified rescue image.

  4. Flash via recommended tool (e.g., sup-flasher or Rufus for bootable media)
  5. First boot will show "VERIFIED CFW" watermark (removable via settings)

Flash SD Card: Format a MicroSD card to FAT32 and write the image file (e.g., cfw-dev.img) using tools like Win32DiskImager or BalenaEtcher. Configure for M3: Open the BOOT partition on your PC. Locate and edit console.cfg using a text editor. sup m3 custom firmware verified
