The Adventures of SpongeBob and Plankton Through Time
With SpongeBob SquarePants renewed for Season 14 and 15, the possibility of another SpongeBob and Plankton time travel episode is high. While the 2015 movie is their primary joint venture, the SpongeBob SquarePants series features other significant time travel lore involving the two characters:
The Distant Future (10,000 Years): They encounter Bubbles, an ancient, inter-dimensional dolphin who watches over the galaxy. Their arrival accidentally gets Bubbles fired from his 10,000-year job.
Title: "Patty Past" Run time: ~11 minutes
The Visual Contrast: Placing SpongeBob’s bright yellow silhouette in a prehistoric swamp or a sterile, robotic future provides instant comedic gold.
As they navigated through the ages, the duo encountered a multitude of historical figures. They met Leonardo da Vinci in the Renaissance, witnessed the construction of the Great Wall of China, and even stumbled upon a young Albert Einstein. With each new adventure, Plankton's schemes grew more elaborate, while SpongeBob's enthusiasm remained unwavering.
