- Missing supplements: Many issues originally included a separate sheet of iron-on transfer patterns. These are often absent from scans, having been used and discarded decades ago.
- Fold-out patterns: The large tissue sewing patterns were frequently folded; scanners often could not flatten them without destroying the paper, so those sections are sometimes missing or illegible.
- OCR errors: Searching within a PDF for “lana” (wool) might yield “lana” or “Iana” due to typeface degradation.
- Gaps in the run: We have issue #45, then #47, but no #46. Some years are entirely absent.
