This report covers the integration of exFAT support in Open PS2 Loader (OPL)

  1. Open the "Games" partition on your PC.
  2. Drag your .iso files into the DVD folder.
  3. Note: If your ISO is larger than 4GB (which is common), exFAT handles it natively. You do not need to split files if you are using a modern OPL version. However, if you face issues, you can use USBUtil or OPL Manager to split the ISO into .iso.0, .iso.1 parts.

Latest OPL Version: You must use OPL v1.2.0 or the latest Beta builds. Older versions (v1.1.0 and below) do not recognize exFAT.

1. Single File ISOs

With FAT32, you had to convert your ISO to a split format (usually .ISO.01, .ISO.02, or an OPL-specific format). Every time you loaded a game, OPL had to reassemble these fragments in virtual memory. With exFAT, you simply copy a complete GameName.iso file to the DVD folder.
