2. Zipstream vs. Uncompressed Burst
Axis Zipstream is excellent for storage, reducing bandwidth by up to 50%. However, for HOT Live View, you need Zipstream at "Low" or "Off" temporarily. The algorithm’s scene analysis takes ~10-15ms; turning it off shaves that delay off every frame. Navigate to Video > Image > Appearance
- White Hot: Best for general security (intruder is dark against white background).
- Black Hot: Less eye strain for long-term monitoring.
- Rainbow/Tyrian: Best for detecting temperature variance in industrial equipment (e.g., leaks).
