Review: IR2110 Proteus Library

1. Overview

The IR2110 is a high-voltage, high-speed power MOSFET and IGBT driver from Infineon (formerly International Rectifier). It features independent high and low side referenced output channels, making it essential for half-bridge, full-bridge, and buck converter topologies.

Creating Your Own Library

  1. Understand the Component Model: Gather detailed datasheets of the IR2110 to understand its pin configuration, electrical characteristics, and typical applications.
  2. Use Proteus Library Files: Proteus uses .LIB files for component models. These files contain the SPICE model and graphical representation of the component.
  3. SPICE Model: Find or create a SPICE model for the IR2110. The SPICE model can often be obtained from the component manufacturer or third-party model repositories.
  4. Compile and Test: Compile the library and test it by simulating a basic circuit.

The component exists as a schematic symbol (for PCB layout) but lacks a SPICE model for simulation. ir2110 proteus library

The IR2110 is often built into the default Proteus libraries. If it is missing or you need an enhanced graphical model, you can manually add external library files: Using the high-low side driver IR2110 - Tahmid's blog Review: IR2110 Proteus Library 1
