Film Review: Grand Masti (2013)

Genre: Adult Comedy / Bollywood Director: Indra Kumar Starring: Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, Aftab Shivdasani, Sonalee Kulkarni, Manjari Fadnis, Karishma Tanna

Box Office Maverick: Against a modest budget of approximately ₹31–34 crore, it grossed over ₹100 crore domestically, becoming the first "A-rated" (Adults only) Bollywood film to join the 100-crore club.

The Cast: A Talented Ensemble

The 2013 film Grand Masti , directed by Indra Kumar, represents a pivotal, albeit controversial, moment in contemporary Bollywood cinema as the film that solidified the "adult comedy" genre in India. Serving as a spiritual successor to the 2004 hit Masti, it reunited the lead trio of Riteish Deshmukh, Vivek Oberoi, and Aftab Shivdasani for a narrative defined by ribald humor and slapstick misadventures. Narrative Framework: The Reunion of Frustration

Commercial Milestone: It was the first "A-rated" (adult-only) Bollywood film to cross the ₹100 crore mark at the domestic box office.
