In rare cases, the C:\ProgramData folder or the specific SoundToys subfolder may have corrupted Access Control Lists (ACLs). This can happen after a Windows update, a system restore, or if you’ve manually tampered with folder permissions in the past.
Do not panic. This error is fixable without reinstalling Windows or buying new hardware. Follow these methods in order.
Open File Explorer.
Win + R, type regedit, press Enter.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SoundToysSoundToys key exists, right-click it and select Permissions.Administrators and SYSTEM have Full Control.
