Understanding the Anatomy and Physiology of Spinal Cord Tracts
- Posterior (Dorsal) Funiculus: Contains ascending tracts only (fine touch, vibration, proprioception).
- Lateral Funiculus: Contains both ascending (spinothalamic, spinocerebellar) and descending (corticospinal, rubrospinal) tracts.
- Anterior (Ventral) Funiculus: Contains both ascending (spinothalamic – anterior part) and descending (vestibulospinal, reticulospinal, tectospinal) tracts.
