3d Rad Exporter Plugin (2025)
This is the most common version of the exporter, designed to bridge SketchUp models to the 3D Rad engine.
A 3D RAD exporter plugin is a software component that allows users to export 3D models from a 3D modeling or animation software into a format compatible with 3D RAD, a game engine or a rendering platform. 3d rad exporter plugin
SketchUp often creates models with reversed face normals, which look correct in SketchUp but appear invisible or "inside-out" in 3D Rad. Poly Count: This is the most common version of the
- Mesh geometry (triangulation option)
- UVs and multiple UV sets
- Vertex colors and normals (custom smoothing/normal export)
- Materials: PBR (baseColor, metallic, roughness, normal map, emissive)
- Texture export (automatic conversion to engine-supported formats; pack/export options)
- Scene hierarchy and transforms (parenting, pivots)
- Light types (directional, point, spot) with color/intensity/range
- Cameras with FOV and clip planes
- Skeletal rigs and skinning (bone indices/weights up to 4 bones per vertex)
- Skeletal animations (baked or per-bone keyframes; export multiple takes)
- Blendshapes/morph targets
- Collision geometry (user-tagged or auto-generated simplified colliders)
- LODs (automatic decimation pipeline and manual LOD groups)
- Metadata and custom properties (user-defined tags, export presets)

This method loses collision tagging, but you can add a simple cube collision box inside 3D Rad itself. For static environment art, this is the fastest way to get high-poly assets into the engine without a plugin. Mesh geometry (triangulation option) UVs and multiple UV
